From the reviews
If you're thinking about trying any class, open jam, or event, definitely just do it! This place is so welcoming that it's an addiction! Staff is amazing, lighting is beautiful, and it truly gives at home vibes. Im mainly a poler, and the ceiling size is great! But they have MANY different Apparatus jams to experience.
Studio is so pretty and so clean! Took my first ever fly pole class which was both fun and challenging. My amazing instructor Ai Nguyen showed me how to spin beautiful and got me into some challenging tricks that I’ve never even done on regular pole (5 years on regular pole).
I’ve taken several flexibility and lyra classes at Pixie Dust and it is now my favorite studio. The whole team is incredibly kind and professional. First time I went to stretching class with Ai, I loved her style of teaching combining static and dynamic moves perfectly, loved how helpful and friendly she was and how…
I took a silks class with Lainey and a chair acrobatics class with Ai. Lainey is kind and patient and gives so much feedback. I made a lot of progress in her class. She’s great at explaining and customizing the class for each person. She gave everyone individual attention.
Your first pole class at Pixie Dust Pole & Aerial - Koreatown
Nervous about your first pole class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects total beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. You don't need to be strong, flexible, or thin to start — pole builds all of that, and your first class is about learning to spin, walk the pole, and hold on, not inverting on day one. What to expect: a warm-up, some conditioning, and a few basic spins or a short combo — it's a real full-body workout, so expect to sweat and to feel it in your arms and core the next day. Rest whenever you need to; no one is watching or judging. What to wear: shorts and a tank or sports bra — bare skin on your arms, legs, and stomach is what grips the pole, so save the leggings for aerial or floorwork. Skip the lotion the day of class; it makes the pole slippery. Grip aids: most studios keep grip liquid (Dry Hands / iTac) on hand, and knee pads make floorwork comfy — ask at the front desk. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people leave their first class already planning the next one.
