From the reviews
Lana has been my teacher for a few months now and it's become clear to me that this is just the beginning of our pole journey! She is extremely patient and very understanding. Our classes are 1 on 1 which works better for me since she tailors the classes to my skill level.
I had an incredible experience at Lana Dance Academy! The instructors are not only skilled and talented but also incredibly supportive and encouraging. The pole dance classes were challenging yet so much fun. The studio itself is well-maintained and has a positive atmosphere that made me feel comfortable right away.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first signed up for Lana’s pole dancing class, but it was most definitely the best decision. Firstly, I love that it’s one-on-one private classes and Lana tailors the class to meet my needs.
I started learning pole dance with Lana in July 2025, fast forward to now, 4 months later she has turned me into a strong and confident pole dancer. I love Lana because she pushes me past my limits, and she challenges me every single time, both physically and mentally, to reach my potential and more, and pushes you to…
Your first pole class at Lana DANCE Pole Dance Yoga and Stretching
Nervous about your first pole class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects total beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. You don't need to be strong, flexible, or thin to start — pole builds all of that, and your first class is about learning to spin, walk the pole, and hold on, not inverting on day one. What to expect: a warm-up, some conditioning, and a few basic spins or a short combo — it's a real full-body workout, so expect to sweat and to feel it in your arms and core the next day. Rest whenever you need to; no one is watching or judging. What to wear: shorts and a tank or sports bra — bare skin on your arms, legs, and stomach is what grips the pole, so save the leggings for aerial or floorwork. Skip the lotion the day of class; it makes the pole slippery. Grip aids: most studios keep grip liquid (Dry Hands / iTac) on hand, and knee pads make floorwork comfy — ask at the front desk. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people leave their first class already planning the next one.
