I've been attending Aeriel Dance in Green Bay for about 8 months now. It has truly been an amazing experience. All of the instructors I've worked with have been supportive and encouraging, I've made some really good friends, and above all my confidence in myself has grown exponentially.
We had an ABSOLUTE BLAST embracing our bodies at this fitness party! We spun, laughed, and shared the joy. Most of these ladies would not have ever tried it otherwise. They LOVED it! Cybil (our instructor) did an absolute fabulous job teaching 40s-70s yr old. Highly recommend.
This pole exercise class is AMAZING! It’s the perfect mix of challenging and fun—definitely never boring. The instructors are like your personal cheer squad, always super helpful and crazy encouraging. Every class pushes me in the best way, and I can’t wait to keep coming back for more!
I joined aerial dance a year ago with little to no skill and no dance or gymnastics experience. I took intro to aerial class which helped me decide which apparatus I would like to focus on. I found a love for silks!
Your first pole class at Aerial Dance Green Bay
Nervous about your first pole class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects total beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. You don't need to be strong, flexible, or thin to start — pole builds all of that, and your first class is about learning to spin, walk the pole, and hold on, not inverting on day one. What to expect: a warm-up, some conditioning, and a few basic spins or a short combo — it's a real full-body workout, so expect to sweat and to feel it in your arms and core the next day. Rest whenever you need to; no one is watching or judging. What to wear: shorts and a tank or sports bra — bare skin on your arms, legs, and stomach is what grips the pole, so save the leggings for aerial or floorwork. Skip the lotion the day of class; it makes the pole slippery. Grip aids: most studios keep grip liquid (Dry Hands / iTac) on hand, and knee pads make floorwork comfy — ask at the front desk. What to bring: water and a small towel — there are showers on site if you need one after. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people leave their first class already planning the next one.
