This studio is such a gift to the area! I have said for years that we need a pole studio in every town lol. Pole has healed me in so many ways, it has helped me connect with my femininity & sensuality and also get strong AF. Kirsten’s genuine energy radiates in this place.
I had a great first class! Even being a complete newcomer to pole dancing, the fundamentals class was a great intro to stretch and work the muscles needed for grip and control. Kiersten was super nice and welcoming. She took time to walk around the studio and give us pointers on our form.
Showcase was the most fun I’ve had in years! All skill levels, all body types, everyone was amazing in their own right! Great community of dancers encouraging and applauding each other! Congratulations and best wishes for continued success!
I love this studio! I've been going for a year. The girls are so supportive and body positive. It's not only a great workout, it is also a confidence booster. My upper body has never been stronger, and I've never felt better about myself. I take spin classes with Kirsten and low flow with Alberta. Both are amazing.
Your first pole class at The Pole Palace Dance Studio
Nervous about your first pole class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects total beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. You don't need to be strong, flexible, or thin to start — pole builds all of that, and your first class is about learning to spin, walk the pole, and hold on, not inverting on day one. What to expect: a warm-up, some conditioning, and a few basic spins or a short combo — it's a real full-body workout, so expect to sweat and to feel it in your arms and core the next day. Rest whenever you need to; no one is watching or judging. What to wear: shorts and a tank or sports bra — bare skin on your arms, legs, and stomach is what grips the pole, so save the leggings for aerial or floorwork. Skip the lotion the day of class; it makes the pole slippery. Grip aids: most studios keep grip liquid (Dry Hands / iTac) on hand, and knee pads make floorwork comfy — ask at the front desk. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people leave their first class already planning the next one.
