I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED with my classes. Love my instructor, MiCole in Intro to Pole. Since going my flexibility is getting so much better and feel so much more confident with my body. Recommendation to anyone just wanting a little excitement in their lives. The environment is just so nice and no judgment at all!
I love this place! I've been going here for about two weeks so far. I've done the intro classes and flexibility. I absolutely love going here. The instructors are friendly, and egar to help us strengthen and improve our moves.
Everything about this place is amazing. The owner MiCole is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. The environment is comfortable and encouraging. They offer a great variety of classes, to keep you motivated while challenging you at the same time. It’s great!
I have had an amazing time as a first-time pole and aerial learner, it's so beginner-friendly but I can see from watching the instructors and more experienced students that there's a very high ceiling for how far you can go here! Everyone is talented, professional, and super sweet and friendly!
Your first pole class at Abstract Aerial Academy
Nervous about your first pole class? Almost everyone is — and a good studio expects total beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. You don't need to be strong, flexible, or thin to start — pole builds all of that, and your first class is about learning to spin, walk the pole, and hold on, not inverting on day one. What to expect: a warm-up, some conditioning, and a few basic spins or a short combo — it's a real full-body workout, so expect to sweat and to feel it in your arms and core the next day. Rest whenever you need to; no one is watching or judging. What to wear: shorts and a tank or sports bra — bare skin on your arms, legs, and stomach is what grips the pole, so save the leggings for aerial or floorwork. Skip the lotion the day of class; it makes the pole slippery. Grip aids: most studios keep grip liquid (Dry Hands / iTac) on hand, and knee pads make floorwork comfy — ask at the front desk. What to bring: water and a small towel. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and meet your instructor. It clicks fast — most people leave their first class already planning the next one.
